Answer: The lamp will work even when plugged in with the batteries drained. Therefore you can definitely use it plugged it and never worry about recharging it.

Question: Can the battery and LED be replaced?

Love these lamps
I just received my Ambient lamp, and I’m really pleased with it. I’m currently charging it, as you can see, but it arrived with a charge, so I cycled through the different tones of light. It offers an incandescent tone, a bluish white, and a combination of the two I would call daylight. You can also dim the light if you wish. I’ll be using this light at my desk at home. It looks exactly as pictured, and has a good weight, as it’s made from aluminum. The best part is that it’s cordless so you can take it anywhere!

The Mantar team is really great to work with. (This was a return/exchange). I do love this style and it looks great, and the light settings are even better than other Mantar lamps we already have. But they are taller than expected. And the crown is a lot wider than expected. So instead of being minimal and elegant, they look more squat and visible. The design of the crown is nice, but it does look a bit industrial (machine tooled). I do like them a lot, but I can’t help wanting a more sophisticated silhouette every time I look at them. Not a big deal. Last but not least, I’m a bit obsessed with perfection, and I have never liked the cool light thrown by LEDs, so I bought photographer’s gels and (very crudely) hand cut circles with holes in the middle and superglued them to the underside of the crown. Then I used scissors to trim off any visible edges. (I’ve also done this to other Mantar lamps). As long as the lamps are below eye level, no one can see my crude handy work, and the softer, warmer light the lamps now cast is perfect!! I only wish Mantar would produce lamps with bulb covers that were already made to cast softer, warmer light.
I love this lamp! I mostly use it to read books and it really helps to see the letters much clearer! I like the fact it has 3 light color adjustment so I can choose depending on what I’m using it for. Highly recommended.

Look and feel like quality. The switch on top sometimes only works if you’re holding the lamp… kinda strange, as it doesn’t do that for all the lamps but suggests some sort of issue with the censoring; otherwise work ok and pleased.
This little lamp is very handy I like it a lot, the only downside would be I don’t know if it holds a charge long enough. I would prefer longer. It’s handy and portable. I like it a lot.
These are amazing. We have two of them in our vacation cabin. Useful around the cabin at night and to walk to the beach with for some lighting that doesn't shine in anyone else's cabin or eyes.

Extremely cool lamp! Just the thing I needed in a dark corner of my Guest Room for just the right light for a midnight reader. It's so perfect on the table that it looks like the lamp is an extension of the pedestal. Couldn't be happier and great folks to deal with too!

We added this lamp to our bar area. It provides beautiful ambient light to a corner of our living room that previously was dark. It looks elegant and sophisticated and adds a lot of atmosphere to the room. It is easy to charge and the charge has lasted a long time (still going). I like that there are three types of light to choose from—on a warm to cool spectrum. I also have a lot of praise for this company’s customer service. I initially was sent the wrong charger. I was nervous that I might not get a response to my email about it because I hadn’t heard of Mantar before. I was very pleasantly surprised. They responded almost immediately to my email and sent me the correct charger right away. They were easy and friendly to deal with. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I love these lamps! They are just the right size to fit anywhere I need them. I appreciate that there is a warm tone setting as it looks more natural to me. The lamp is sleek and stylish, and has been a wonderful addition to my patio. It does have issues on occasion not turning off or doing weird things, but it short lived in customer service has been fantastic.
Not only is this lamp beautiful it’s very versatile. I have the black one and it’s usually on my kitchen hutch. Beautiful nighttime ambience. We take it out on our deck at night and it gives off the perfect light. Grandkids love it on the kitchen table when they play games. I love this lamp.
